Here’s some funny things I don’t want to forget. . .

Fikadu’s chore now is feeding Belle (our dog).  The other night he put the scoop of food in her bowl, and then grabbed her collar and said, “Wait Belle, pray!”  He then proceeded to recite a pray they had memorized in the Transition Home!  It was hilarious!!!! =)

Last night we were eating dinner and Fikadu and Tigist were talking in Amharic to each other.  Fikadu often says or does funny things to make Tigist laugh.  Joshua and I weren’t sure what was so funny until we started listening a little closer.  They each had a piece of bread in their hands and were saying, “Ciao, mahtah mahtah!” and then chomping down the piece of bread.  And then Tigist said, “Bye, see you soon!”  and chomped down on her bread.  This made Fikadu laugh even harder and Josh and I finally got it.  They were saying, “Goodbye, goodnight, see you soon” to their food and then eating it, of course realizing that they would soon see it in the toilet!
