Dear friends and family
We just received a call from our adoption agency and unfortunately our case was not heard in court today. Some paperwork did not arrive and we have now been given a new court date.
Although we are saddened by this news we are praising God that our case was able to be scheduled for this Friday January 2nd. Hopefully if all goes well we can keep our original travel dates of January 16th.
Please pray very specifically for the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs as it appears that is the reason cases weren’t heard today. Pray that they will have a someone soon to sign off on paperwork as many other adopting families are affected by this as well. We thank you for your prayers. We are meditating on Psalms 112:6-8 “For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid.”
Standing firm,
Joshua and Bethany

I will be in prayer for the 2nd. Our sweet friends got bumped to the 16th… We are so sorry that all of you did not get the answer that we were all praying for today, but please know that we are praying! I love the scriptures and prayers you have been posting. May this time be drawing you closer and closer to Him. He is holding all of you (and your precious children) in His mighty grip.

Y’all and your precious children are in our thoughts and prayers. God’s timing is always perfect, even when our hearts are disappointed and anxious. We can’t WAIT to see photos of the kids and believe it will be SOON!

J&B,
It was so wonderful to spend a little time with you recently. Though we “sorrow with you” that your case was not yet heard, we are praying with you that it will be soon and that you can keep your flights. Then, praise God, we will “rejoice with you!”
We look forward to the next time we can spend some time with you. Until then…
Soli Deo Gloria!
