Midnight Prayers

My dear friend Kim who is also waiting to bring home a precious little one from Ethiopia sent me this email.  I am so grateful to God for friends like this.  There are 2 other families waiting to hear about court rulings within the next couple days.  Kim sent this to all of us.  You can check out the other families blogs who are waiting to hear about court at:

This is what Kim wrote:

I couldn’t sleep last night at about 1:30 am so I began praying for your kiddos by name. I was led to a passage in Daniel 9 where Daniel is crying out for his people. I cried out, hands held high, for your children last night. I awoke with great peace. I KNOW your stress, your anguish this day. I am here for you if you need anything. I’ll be lifting you up throughout the day. You are SO LOVED as are your children.

This was the verse and my prayer.

“O my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see… For we
do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but
because of your great mercy. 19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord,
pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God,
because your city and your people are called by your name.”

O Lord, hear our cry for M***, for Y***, for T*** and F***. O Lord
open your eyes and see their need for parents, their parent’s need for
them. O Lord hear, forgive our faithlessness during this wait. O my
God, ACT on behalf of these children, for they are called by your name
to a home with a forever family, to be raised as children of faith, as
covenant children according to your truth.

O Lord, incline your ear and hear our cries for our children.
According to YOUR righteousness and great mercy, hear us and bring our
loved children home.

Amen
