For about the last month we have been praying about the possibility of adopting more then one child. To some this seems outrageous, insane, crazy. . . yes, we know that it will be A LOT of work bringing two children into our home instead of just one infant. But with that said, we find our hearts opening up more and more each day to the tremendous need for families for the millions of orphans in our world. God has softened our hearts to not just take an easy road but be challenged in our faith and trust in His provision.
The way this will work is that we will make a request for 2 children under the age of 3 with one of the children under 12 months. It is our hope that we will be referred siblings, but this isn’t always possible so we may receive two children in this age range that are not related. It is also possible though that we will still only be referred one child, or have the option of accepting the referral of one child instead of two.
Please keep us in our prayers as we continue down this exciting road of adoption!

Wow! What a huge step of faith, but it’s amazing what God can do through you if you put your trust in Him and just step out, willing to do whatever it is.

What a blessing for you to possibly get 2 children. It makes a lot of sense. We have also thought about that very subject. Thanks for sharing. Those kids will be so lucky.

How exciting that you are saying yes to the possibility of two children. A leap of faith, yes… but one that God will bless!
And yes… boxers are the best dogs!

We too have considered adopting two. But it seems like since our youngest daughter is only 18 months now (and 2 when we send our DTE) it won’t be possible at this time. Makes me wonder if God doesn’t have another adoption in our future….

It’s neat that God is leading you in this way. Adopting 2 children would be wonderful.

Wow! This is exactly what Bill and I plan to do. We have planned pretty much all along to adopt two children, preferrably siblings. We have several reasons for this decision. First of all, we have both wanted two children. It would be nice to only have to go through the whole adoption process once rather than twice. Also, we hope that if we adopt siblings, they would be able to adjust together to the new situation rather than, possibly, feeling alone. Ultimately, though, in the United States, which is where we plan to adopt, it is difficult for siblings to find families to adopt them. They’re considered hard to place. So, we’d love to be able to contribute positively in that way.
It’s awesome that you guys are willing to do something like this.
